Samsung Rollout Stable One UI 8 (Android 16) Update to Galaxy S23 Lineup

Samsung continues its commitment to latest software delivery, pushing the stable release of One UI 8 to older S Series flagships, built on top of the Android 16 to its 2023 flagship series, the Galaxy S23.

Users in South Korea are seeing the initial release of the new Android 16 update first. Samsung is delivering the stable firmware over-the-air (OTA). This package primarily targets users who participated in the earlier One UI 8 beta test.

The udpate file size is around 400-500MB for existing beta users, finalizes bug corrections.

While the most dramatic visual changes occurred in previous generations, One UI 8 focuses on subtle, yet significant, functional and aesthetic refinements across them Samsung ecosystem, following is the list of new and improved update and features:

• System Aesthetics: Users will notice thoughtful updates to core applications. Samsung has refined elements like the camera quick controls and introduced more dynamic, adaptive widgets—including a Lock Screen Clock that interacts seamlessly with the user’s chosen wallpaper.
• Expanded Automation: The Modes and Routines feature gains additional preset routines and expanded actions, giving users deeper levels of control for automating daily tasks and device behavior based on context.
• Underlying Performance: Above all, the platform upgrade delivers all the security patches and under-the-hood performance optimizations inherent to the Android 16 base code, ensuring the Galaxy S23 series maintains peak efficiency.

Following the successful South Korean rollout, the wider global release will soon follow. The unlocked Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra models should become available in the coming days.
