Motorola is reportedly preparing to shake up the mid-range smartphone space with its upcoming Edge 70, and the latest leaks suggest it will aim for an ultra-thin profile without sacrificing specs.
According to FoneArena, the phone is expected to launch with a 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED display that supports upto 120 Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth, reaching peak brightness of around 4,500 nits. Motorola has already confirmed a 4,800 mAh battery with 68W fast charging, promising up to 12 hours of use from just 15 minutes of charging.

If the rumors are accurate, the Edge 70 will measure just 6 mm thin, making it one of the slimmest phones in Motorola’s lineup. The device is also said to maintain durability credentials—IP68 + IP69 water/dust resistance and military-grade certification (MIL-STD-810H).
Performance leaks suggest the phone will run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with the Adreno 722 GPU. RAM and storage options may include 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and up to 512 GB storage. On the camera side, a leaked spec sheet points to a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, along with a 50MP selfie camera.
Design renders circulating online also hint at a shift in styling: flatter frame edges instead of curves, a square camera bump with colored accent rings, and more pronounced color options like Bronze Green, Lily Pad, and Pantone Gadget Gray. Motorola itself has teased the Edge 70’s unveiling for November 5, with the Chinese variant (possibly called moto X70 Air) expected earlier.

With leaks painting the Edge 70 as an ultra-thin phone that still demands power and longevity, it aims to compete not only with mid-range rivals but also with premium “thin” devices like iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge. Whether Motorola can deliver the balance between elegance, performance, and battery in a real hands-on device is something we’ll see come November.
