The iQOO 16 is moving closer to an international release after receiving certification from Indonesia’s SDPPI authority. The regulatory approval signals that the smartphone’s global rollout is actively progressing following its initial debut in China. Additionally, reports indicate that the flagship device is tipped to launch in India this coming December.
Originally introduced in China, the iQOO 16 comes equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. The front of the phone features a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED display boasting a 165Hz refresh rate. In terms of memory and capacity, the handset offers configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The regulatory listing in Indonesia marks an important step for the device as it begins expanding out of the Chinese market. With its high-refresh-rate 2K screen and top-tier processor, the handset brings iQOO’s latest high-performance hardware to international Android users.
While official pricing and exact regional launch schedules have not yet been fully detailed, the tipped December release for India points to a broader rollout in the near future. Further availability details for additional markets are expected to surface as the launch period approaches.
