Samsung is expanding the health and accessibility capabilities of its flagship audio lineup by adding built-in Hearing Test and Hearing Aid features to the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds3 Pro.
The upcoming update enables the wireless earbuds to function as assistive hearing tools following official regulatory approvals. Samsung has secured medical device certification from South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), building on top of earlier FDA clearance granted in the United States.
Integrating diagnostic hearing tests and hearing enhancement tools directly into standard consumer hardware allows users to evaluate their hearing profiles and amplify surrounding audio. By bringing these software capabilities to both the Galaxy Buds3 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 Pro, Samsung is incorporating certified hearing assistance directly into its main earbud lineup.
According to the latest update, the new features are scheduled to begin rolling out to users in South Korea in early 2027. Full release timelines for additional regions beyond South Korea and the U.S. have not yet been specified.
