Vivo has officially introduced its newest flagship smartphone in China, entering the premium market segment alongside the open beta release of OriginOS 7. The launch expands the brand’s top-tier lineup, debuting alongside software upgrades like the new Liquid Glass UI and physics-based animations currently rolling out to early beta devices such as the Vivo X200 series, Vivo X Fold3, and iQOO 13.
The phone is fitted with an OLED LTPO panel that dynamically adjusts its refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz based on on-screen content. That means fast-paced scrolling and UI transitions stay ultra-smooth, while static text or photos automatically dial down the refresh rate to preserve battery life. High peak brightness levels ensure easy outdoor reading, complemented by high-frequency PWM dimming to keep display flicker to a minimum during nighttime use.
At the back, the camera array centers around a large 1-inch primary sensor paired with a physical variable aperture. The expansive 1-inch light-gathering surface drastically improves low-light performance by pulling in far more detailed exposures with minimal digital noise. Furthermore, the physical variable aperture gives photographers actual control over optical depth of field, producing authentic background blur and separation that software portrait modes cannot truly replicate.
Under the hood, power is delivered by a Kirin processor alongside a standard base configuration of 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A generous 5,700mAh battery keeps the hardware running, offering a substantial capacity boost over the 5,000mAh cells standard on most competing devices. Pricing starts at CNY 5,499 in China, though global availability remains unannounced, with international versions expected to feature Funtouch OS instead of OriginOS whenever a broader rollout takes place.
