Google Rolls Out November Update for Pixel Watch 2’s LTE Version

Google is releasing a new update for the Pixel Watch 2, but it’s exclusively available for the LTE version of the watch. The November 2023 update with build number TWD9.231005.005.B3 is now rolling out for LTE Pixel Watch 2 users. While this update primarily focuses on bug fixes and improvements, it doesn’t include an update to the security level, as the watch remains on the October patch.

What makes this update curious is that it’s solely intended for the LTE Pixel Watch 2 and not the Wi-Fi variant or the original Pixel Watch. Google has yet to mention updates for the other Pixel Watch models. The update changelog provided by Google which you can read here.

The Nov 2023 software update includes bug fixes and improvements for Pixel Watch 2 LTE users. This selective release might be due to some bugs that Google wants to address before releasing the November security patch to all Pixel Watch versions and models.

Typically, Google updates all or most of its Pixel smartphones simultaneously. However, for the Pixel Watch 2, the company has taken a different approach. It’s likely that additional updates for Pixel Watch devices will arrive in the near future. For now, LTE Pixel Watch 2 owners can check for the update by going to Settings > System > System update.
