Samsung Introduces ‘Temporary Cloud Backup’: Seamless Data Security and Recovery for Galaxy Users

Samsung has just introduced a game-changing feature for Galaxy users – the “Temporary Cloud Backup” option. This innovative solution ensures the safe preservation and retrieval of your valuable data, making data management a breeze during during repairs, replacements. With this new feature, users can effortlessly store their data in Samsung Cloud, all thanks to their Samsung Account.

What’s truly impressive about this service is that it comes at no cost and boasts no storage limitations. You can store your data without worries, and even individual file sizes, though capped at 100GB, are more than sufficient for most needs. The process is designed to be user-friendly and straightforward. You won’t need a PC or external storage device – all you need is a Wi-Fi connection for seamless data transfer.

Your data remains securely stored on Samsung Cloud for a generous duration of up to 30 days from the initial backup date. As the 30-day mark approaches, you’ll receive helpful notifications, ensuring that you’re well-informed about your data’s status. After this 30-day window, the system will automatically delete the data, simplifying data management.

The Temporary Cloud Backup feature is particularly handy when it comes to device repairs or replacements. Samsung has seamlessly integrated this capability into Maintenance Mode, enabling users to back up their personal data securely. This includes files stored within the Secure Folder, ensuring that nothing important is lost during necessary device repairs.

But that’s not all; this feature simplifies the process of device upgrades too. Users can confidently back up their data before performing a full reset on their old device. When the time comes for data restoration, you have the flexibility to initiate it during the initial device setup or at any time within Maintenance Mode or the Reset function.

The global rollout of this feature begins this fall, starting with Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets using One UI 6 or later. Initially, it will be available for the Galaxy S and Z series in Korea. Samsung Account’s two-factor authentication ensures the security of your data backup, providing peace of mind for users looking to safeguard their valuable information.
